Jim and Terry Gundersen started their glassblowing studio at their home at Goose Bay in 2002. Jim, having spent the
previous 30 years shoeing horses and running a blacksmith shop, and Terry, working as an RN at St. Peter's Hospital, travelled
to Palouse, Washington, for instruction in glassblowing and the mechanics of operating a "hot shop". From the first
bubble, they knew they were hooked. With his blacksmithing skills, Jim was able to build most of their equipment and
glassblowing tools. They worked out of their home at Goose Bay and took their wares to various craft shows in the area. In
2003, the Gundersens moved their operation into Townsend, where they can be found blowing glass most days. Their studio is
located at 101 South Front Street in Townsend.
